Impact of an educational program on parents' knowledge about chelation therapy & nutrition of their children with beta thalassemia major

The study aimed to determine the effect of an educational program on parents' knowledge about chelation therapy, and nutrition their children with beta thalassemia major. A quasi experimental was carried out at Thalassemia Center in Al-Najaf City during periods 25 ͭ ͪ February 2021 15 March 2022. Non-probability (purposive) sample (70) parents were selected from center (38 mothers 32 fathers).The result findings indicate that education home health care management highly effective parents’ group evidenced by high significance associated “Greenhouse-Geisser” correction p-value=0.001. Also there is a significant relationship between regard affected father disease p-value= .049.
